WEF and the Sponsors of the 2008 "Adopt and ELK" Campaign Reach Out to Sick Kids

In July 2008, staff of the WEF delivered 60 stuffed toy elk to the sick children at Edmonton's Stollery Children's Hospital. This was made possible through the generosity of the 34 adoptee's, in our 2008 "Adopt and Elk" campaign.

Not only did the adoptee's donate $300.00 each to the WEF to adopt one of the elk in our 2008 Elk Relocation Project, they opted to donate their stuffed toy elk to the children, sick in hospital. I'm sure these toy elk brightened more than one child's day.

We thank all our supporters for their participation in the Adopt an Elk Campaign.

For those who may be interested, there are still 47 of the 81 elk released into the wild in March that have not been adopted. Monies from this campaign help provide funding for the elk relocation project and funding is still needed to meet our project financial responsibility. (Official tax receipts are provided)
