2008 Adopt an Elk Campaign

Canada's Wild Elk Federation is spearheading an Alberta
elk relocation project in the spring of 2008 and we need your help.
The Wild Elk Federation in partnership with Elk Island National Park,
Alberta Fish and Wildlife, and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency will
relocate 200 elk from Elk Island National Park into the foothills region
of Alberta. At a projected cost of $130,000.00 (over $600.00 per elk),
Elk Island National Park and the Wild Elk Federation have already covered
$70,000.00 of these expenses. $60,000.00 or $300.00 per elk is still
needed to complete this important Alberta wildlife project.
How Can You Help?
By making a financial donation in any amount, or "Adopt an Elk".
For a donation of $300.00 or more you can adopt one of the 200 wild
elk selected for release into the foothills of Alberta. Adopters will
receive a replica elk complete with a personalized ear tag depicting
the WEF 2008 Adopt an Elk Campaign.
(All financial donations are tax deductible - official tax receipts
will be issued)
Support this important Alberta resource, wildlife for the future.
